Bengaluru, Jan 10 (UNI) Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Friday claimed that the days of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah are numbered.
Vijayendra also suggested that Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar would soon "snatch power" from Siddaramaiah. His remarks added fuel to ongoing discussions about the power dynamics within the Karnataka Congress party.
Siddaramaiah took office as Chief Minister in May 2023 after Congress' electoral victory. However, speculation about potential leadership changes has been on the rise. Vijayendra cited comments made by Shivakumar during the winter Assembly session in Belagavi, which, according to him, implied Shivakumar had been advised by his mentor to "snatch power" if the transition was not smooth.
