Priyanka Gandhi criticises LDF’s stand on PM SHRI scheme

Wayanad, Oct 30 (UNI) AICC General Secretary and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra today criticised the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) government for its lack of clarity and contradictory stance on the Central Government’s PM SHRI scheme.
Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, she alleged the LDF government appears to be "keeping one foot on each side," noting its decision to first sign an MoU for implementing PM SHRI schools in Kerala and then backtracking following protests from the CPI, the main ally of the CPI(M)-led LDF.
"I don't think they are clear on their stand. I expected the Kerala Government to oppose the scheme, and I am surprised it has not," she said.
