BJP slams Kharge, says Cong serves itself

Bengaluru, Sept 9 (UNI) Former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and BJP MLA CN Ashwath Narayan today launched a scathing attack on Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, alleging that the party prioritises its own interests over the welfare of farmers and citizens.
The remarks came in the wake of reports that Kharge had seemingly rebuked a farmer who approached him to complain about crop losses.
Addressing the media, Ashwath Narayan said, "The Congress leadership is not for farmers, not for the poor, not for citizens, they are only for themselves and their families. They don’t work for the people. The Congress president’s statement makes this clear. It reflects a serious attitude problem within the party, where self-interest is placed above public service."
