BJP registers police case against Cong for morphing video of Amit Shah’s speech

Hyderabad, April 28 (UNI) Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president and Union Minister for Tourism, G. Kishan Reddy, said on Sunday that a case has been registered against the Congress party over the morphed Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s speech in Siddipet and put it on Twitter.
“ The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) on its official social platform,'X' posted morphed/fabricated video of Shah in which it said that if BJP forms a government then, our government will cancel the unconstitutionally given Muslim reservations. In Telangana SC/ST and OBC rights will be given but Muslim reservation will be cancelled”.
Talking to reporters here, Reddy said the morphed video of Shah’s speech was a violation of the poll code.
The BJP had earlier also urged the Election Commission to initiate action against the Congress Party social media wing for posting a morphed and fabricated video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on social media.
Talking to reporters, Reddy said the morphed video posted by Congress is provoking social tensions and undermining our party morale.
He said, “Working in the spirit of Ambedkar's ambition, the BJP government is moving ahead to convey Ambedkar's spirit to the people.
At present, injustice is being done to BCs in Telangana state, he alleged, and he said justice should be done to BCs in the matter of reservation, which is possible only with the BJP.
The Congress party tried to make people believe by telling lies every day that reservations would be abolished by the BJP, he alleged, and said that in Telangana, the Congress party canceled the BC reservation, contrary to Ambedkar's wishes, and also implemented religious reservations in violation of the state high court's verdict.
Such a Congress party has no moral right to criticize the BJP on the reservation of BCs, he pointed out.
