KTR writes open letter to Rahul Gandhi, alleges "Rs 5 lakh cr land scam" under HILTP

Hyderabad, Nov 30 (UNI) BRS Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) on Sunday released an open letter addressed to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, alleging that the Telangana government's newly introduced Hyderabad Industrial Land Transformation Policy (HILTP) could pave the way for what he termed as "one of the biggest land scams in Independent India."
KTR claimed the policy has sparked concern across the state, with many questioning whether the Congress leadership is aware of the alleged scale of misappropriation.
According to him, the policy could result in a loss of nearly Rs 5 lakh crore by allowing private players to convert valuable public industrial lands for commercial use at only 30 per cent of the SRO value — a fraction of their existing market price.
