Hyderabad, Nov 25 (UNI) To cater to the increased demand during the Sabarimala pilgrimage season, Indian Railways will operate 44 special trains between Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam Road, and Kollam.
These trains will run between December 1, 2024, and February 27, 2025, providing enhanced connectivity for pilgrims travelling to the sacred place.
Train No. 08539/08540 will operate between Visakhapatnam and Kollam every Wednesday and Thursday, with stops at major stations including Duvvada, Vijayawada, Renigunta, Salem, and Ernakulam.
Similarly, Train No. 08553/08554 will connect Srikakulam Road and Kollam every Sunday and Monday, halting at important stations such as Vizianagaram, Rajahmundry, Katpadi, and Thrissur.
These special trains consist of 2AC, 3AC, Sleeper, and General Second Class coaches, ensuring comfortable travel for passengers, a statement here said on Monday.
