Safran to invest over Euro 200 million in Hyderabad, plans revenue growth and job creation

Hyderabad, Nov 26 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday virtually inaugurated Safran Aircraft Engine Services India facility in Hyderabad, as the French aviation major announced plans to triple its revenue in India to Euro 3 billion by 2030, with India generating half of that amount.
Safran CEO Olivier Andriès said,“I want to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian Government for their support and trust, which make our growth in India possible. The two new MRO centers in Hyderabad dedicated to the LEAP and M88 engines — along with our new joint venture with BEL — underscore India’s importance to our Group. We’re proud to support the rapid growth of India’s civil and defense aerospace markets and to actively contribute to the country’s Make in India policy and strategic autonomy. Safran will triple its revenue in India to exceed €3 billion by 2030, half of which will be generated by our sites here. At the same time, Safran will increase its sourcing from India fivefold.”
At a ceremony in Hyderabad attended by PM Modi, Safran Chairman Ross McInnes, and CEO Olivier Andriès, the company inaugurated what will become its largest MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) center for the CFM International LEAP engine.
