17th Poultry India Expo 2025 begins in Hyderabad; ministers assure full support for industry growth

Hyderabad, Nov 26 (UNI) The 17th edition of Poultry India Expo 2025 — considered South Asia’s largest poultry event — opened on Wednesday at HITEX Exhibition Centre, Madhapur, bringing together global leaders, manufacturers, farmers and industry experts under one platform for three days.
The expo was inaugurated by Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, who toured the exhibition and examined advanced farming technologies including automated feeding and egg collection systems designed to increase efficiency with minimal labour.
Addressing participants, Prabhakar congratulated exhibitors and said the poultry sector, once limited to agriculture, has now evolved into a major industrial ecosystem with expanding business and employment potential. “Chicken and egg consumption will only grow further. The future of poultry is bright, and youth must tap the opportunities,” he noted. He added that the government is encouraging the cultivation of feed crops like maize and soy and will assist poultry producers in scaling exports nationwide.
