Hyd become Valentine’s capital with over 100 pc growth in transactions: Simple Checkout Scan

Hyderabad, Feb 14 (UNI) In the run-up to the ongoing Valentine’s Week, emerging metros such as Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Pune have become the new Valentine's capital, piping the original metros Mumbai, New Delhi, and Bengaluru, by posting over 100 percent growth in transactions online over last year, according to a report released by Simpl Checkout Scan, India’s foremost Merchant First Checkout Network., on Wednesday.
This comes on the back of similar growth of 100 percent recorded in pan-India transactions via Simpl’s 1-Tap Checkout from February 1–14, with categories including food and beverages, quick commerce, travel, beauty, personal care, and electronics being the most preferred, the report stated.
Emerging metros such as Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Pune witnessed 150 percent, 136 percent, and 154 percent growth in transactions, respectively, while top metros such as Bangalore and New Delhi posted 103 percent and 54 percent growth, and Mumbai posted a marginal increase in demand of 24 percent.
