SFA Championships: Mumbai hosts latest Chapter of Sporting Excellence

Mumbai, Dec 1 (UNI) Reinforcing Mumbai’s status as a cornerstone of sporting excellence, the SFA Championships 2024 returns on Monday for their 7th edition, kicking off at the Football Ground, Mumbai University (Kalina).
The event will see more than 21,000 school-level athletes, aged 3 to 18, competing in 27 sports across Mumbai, underlining the city’s commitment to promoting a vibrant sports culture.
This year, budding athletes will get the opportunity to showcase their skills at venues sprawled across the city, including Andheri Sports Complex, BPCA, Wadala, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Swimming Pool, Dadar, Mumbai Hockey Association, Churchgate, Mumbai University Sports Complex, Kalina, National Sports Club of India, Worli, Priyadarshini Park Sports Complex, Breach Candy, AITA Trust, Kalina, Railway Police Ground, Ghatkopar, Somaiya Sports Complex, Sion and St. Pius College Ground, Goregaon , marking a significant growth of the Championships. Moreover, 790 schools will be represented in this year’s SFA Championships.
