Hyderabad, Oct 12 (UNI) Sanju Samson’s sensational century led India to a commanding 133-run victory over Bangladesh in the third T20I, sealing a remarkable performance for the hosts. Samson's explosive 111 off just 47 balls, featuring 11 fours and 8 sixes, was the highlight of the match as India posted a massive total of 297/6.
Samson’s innings was a masterclass in aggressive batting, seamlessly combining powerful strokes with calculated precision. His dominance was particularly evident against the spinners, as he effortlessly lofted the ball over the boundary and found gaps in the field. One of the defining moments came in an over against Rishad Hossain, where Samson hammered 30 runs, further demoralising the opposition.
Suryakumar Yadav added to the carnage with a blistering 75 off 35 balls. Known for his innovative stroke play, Suryakumar's knock perfectly complemented Samson's aggression, as the two built a pulsating partnership. Together, they orchestrated India’s surge, smashing boundaries and keeping the scoreboard ticking at a breathtaking pace.
India's middle-order also joined the party, with Hardik Pandya contributing 47 off 18 balls and Riyan Parag smashing 34 off 16. By the time Bangladesh’s bowlers could regroup, India had posted a daunting total, leaving Bangladesh with an almost impossible task.
Bangladesh’s chase got off to a disastrous start as Mayank Yadav struck on the very first ball, dismissing Parvez Hossain Emon for a duck. Though Litton Das (42 off 25) and Towhid Hridoy (63* off 42) showed some fight, the Bangladeshi innings faltered as wickets fell regularly. Ravi Bishnoi’s spell of 3/30 broke the backbone of Bangladesh’s middle order, including key wickets of Litton and Rishad Hossain (0).
Despite Hridoy's efforts, Bangladesh could only manage 164/7 in their 20 overs, well short of the target. India's bowlers, led by Bishnoi and Mayank Yadav (2/32), ensured that Bangladesh never gained momentum, securing India’s overwhelming victory.
