Maha Cabinet decides to increase tuition fee of inter-resident students of GMCs to Rs 18K per month

Mumbai, Feb 14 (UNI) The Maharashtra Cabinet on Wednesday took a decision to increase tuition fee of intern students studying at Government Medical Colleges and Hospitals (GMCH) in the state to Rs 18,000 per month.
This was possible due to persistent follow-up by Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Vijay Wadettiwar. He had also strongly demanded that the inter-resident students of the Government Medical Colleges should get a substantial tuition fee.
In order to resolve the issue of tuition fees, a meeting was held with Medical Education Minister Hasan Mushrif during the winter session of assembly at Nagpur.
