Maha: Mumbai Airport Customs arrest two passengers with marijuana worth Rs 22.39 cr

Mumbai, Nov 25 (UNI) The Customs officers at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport here made a significant seizure of 22.399 kg hydroponic weed (marijuana), with an illicit market value of approximately Rs 22.39 crore, from two Bangkok passengers, officials said here on Monday.
According to a media statement released here, Customs officials on Sunday arrested two passengers at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport for allegedly smuggling 22.39 kg hydroponic weed (marijuana) worth Rs 22.39 crore from Bangkok.
On the basis of profiling, the officers at CSM International Airport intercepted two passengers who arrived here from Bangkok, and from one passenger recovered 8.337 kg (net weight) of suspected marijuana worth approximately Rs 8.33 crore, and from another passenger recovered 14.062 kg (net weight) of suspected marijuana worth approximately Rs 14.06 crore.
