Maha: Amit Shah terms MVA as 'Vinash'

Mumbai, Nov 13 (UNI) Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah on Wednesday termed opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in Maharashtra as 'vinash' (destruction).
While addressing a public rally at Chalisgaon in Dhule district, he said, "Mahayuti means 'Vikas' and Aghadi (Maha Vikas Aghadi) means 'Vinash'... You have to decide whether to bring to power those who do development or those who cause destruction...."
"Aghadiwale (MVA) make false promises. Recently, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge ji said that only promises which can be fulfilled should be made. Congress goverments in Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh and Telangana could not fulfil their promises. But promises made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji are 'pathar ki lakeer'," he said.
He further accused Congress of not providing enough funds to Maharashtra during UPA rule from 2004 to 2014.
The Union Home Minister also accused Shiv Sena (UBT) president and former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray of being the only chief minister in the country who chose to stay indoors during the Covid-19 pandemic, while other state leaders were confronting the crisis.
He criticised Thackeray’s leadership, questioning how a leader who avoided public engagement could save the state of Maharashtra.
"We had announced that we will construct Ram temple and did so... Neither Rahul baba nor Supriya Sule attended the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple due to their vote bank... First time in 550 years, Ram Lalla celebrated Diwali in Ayodhya," Shah added.
