BJP got Rs 1,400 cr donation from gambling companies through electoral bonds, alleges Congress leader

Satara, Apr 30 (UNI) Former Maharashtra chief minister and senior Congress leader, Prithviraj Chavan, on Tuesday made a startling allegation that Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has got Rs 1,400 crore as donation from gambling companies through electoral bonds.
Addressing party workers at party headquarter in Karad city of the district in support of Maha Vikas Aghadi candidate Shashikant Shinde, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced to create two crore jobs every year, but in last 10 years there was no recruitment, instead bold advertisements on gambling started appearing in media to inculcate bad habit of gambling in the youth, he claimed.
He said that during the Congress regime, advertisements of gambling, liquor, etc., were never encouraged, but now such advertisements are running in media because gambling companies have had donated Rs 1,400 crore to BJP through electoral bonds, he charged.

Use alternative to DAP fertiliser, Maha govt tells farmers

Mumbai, June 20 (UNI) The Maharashtra Agriculture Department on Thursday advised farmers to use alternative fertilisers available in the market instead of relying only on DAP (Di-Ammonium Phosphate) in the current kharif season,

Currently sowing has started in the state and DAP fertiliser is in high demand. DAP fertilizer contains 18 percent nitrogen and 46 percent phosphorus as nutrients.
