Mumbai, Nov 15 (UNI) Karnataka Home Minister G Parmeshwara on Friday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BJP leaders of spreading misinformation about Congress' five guarantees and asserted that the Karnataka government has made allocation of Rs 56,000 crore in the state budget for implementation of the five guarantees.
Addressing a press conference here, he said that the Karnataka government has been implementing the five guarantees given by the Congress party during the assembly elections and lakhs of people in Karnataka were benefited from these guarantees.
"After formation of the government, in the very first cabinet meeting, it was decided to implement five
guarantees and its implementation is underway and asked the detractors to come to Karnataka to inspect implementation of these guarantees," he said.
He alleged that PM Modi and other BJP leaders were deliberately spreading misinformation to mislead the public.
Implementation of the five guarantees will continue till the end of the government's tenure, he said and assured that there is no dearth of funds as the Karnataka government has allocated Rs 56,000 crore in the budget for implementation of these guarantees.
Parmeshwara alleged that the BJP-alliance government in Maharashtra is mired in corruption and has committed a scam of Rs 10,000 crore in Jalyukta Shiwar Yojana and another scam of Rs 8,000 crore in procurement of ambulances.
He claimed that Maharashtra ranks second in the country in terms of violence against women.
Also, narcotic drugs are being sold openly in the state and the youths are getting addicted, he alleged.
The BJP government in Maharashtra is a government of moneylenders, he claimed.
He expressed that the environment in Maharashtra is favourable for the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) and it will form the government after elections, he added.
