Mumbai, Oct 30 (UNI) Following enforcement of the code of conduct for Maharashtra Assembly election from October 15, various enforcement agencies of the state and central governments have seized illegal money and other goods including liquor, drugs and precious metals, etc., collectively worth Rs 187.88 crore, informed the office of the Chief Electoral Officer on Wednesday.
This seizure mainly includes about Rs 75 crore from the state police department, about Rs 60 crore from the income tax department, about Rs 11 crore from the state excise department.
This success has been achieved due to proper functioning of checkpoints set up by police department and other agencies at various places.
