Maha: Election Dept to monitor polling at 2,090 stations through webcasting in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Nov 19 (UNI) To make the election process transparent and smooth, the Election office has installed CCTV cameras at 2,090 polling stations out of a total of 3,452 in 10 assembly constituencies of the district to monitor the entire election process on November 20 through webcasting.
An official press release by district election office said on Tuesday that every process at the polling stations is being monitored from the district level.
Also, special care will be taken to prevent any untoward incident with the voting through these cameras. This will automatically curb the malpractices during the voting process.
