Mumbai, Feb 10 (UNI) Sixteen years after the 2008 Malegaon bomb blast, a special NIA court has ordered to attach properties of absconding accused Ramchandra Kalsangra as he failed to present himself for the trial.
Special Judge A K Lahoti passed an order on an application moved by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) seeking attachment of accused property upon his failure to appear before investigators despite he was being summoned and was searched.
In his order, Judge Lahoti said that 'court issued warrant against wanted accused Ramchandra Gopal Singh Kalsangra. The warrant could not be executed as accused is absconding and concealing his presence, hence, order of issue of proclamation has been passed. Even after promulgation of proclamation, accused did not turn up before this court. Therefore, as per section 83, the warrant of attachment is issued by this court to attach the property of accused.'
