Mumbai, May 14 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and in-charge of Maharashtra, Ramesh Chennithala, on Tuesday demanded that the state government should conduct a thorough investigation into the Ghatkopar incident and take strict action against those responsible.
Notably, a giant hoarding collapsed due to dust storm and heavy rain in eastern suburb of Ghatkopar on Monday, in which 14 people were killed and 80 others were injured.
The Congress leader today visited Rajawadi Hospital and enquired about injured in the Ghatkopar tragedy and took information from doctors.
Later, talking to media, he described the Ghatkopar incident as 'very unfortunate' and held the state
government and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation administration responsible for the same.
