Farmers' leader scoffs at Maha CM's claim on Shaktipeeth expressway

Kolhapur, July 13 (UNI) Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana (SSS) national president today scoffed at Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' claim that 1,000 farmers from the district supported the proposed Shaktipeeth expressway by handing over their 7/12 land certificates to the state government.
Talking to reporters here, the farmers' leader claimed that not even one percent farmers from the district supported the proposed Shaktipeeth expressway.
He said that 3,822 land-owning farmers in the district were affected by the proposed Shaktipeeth expressway and only 35 farmers handed over their 7/12 land certificates to the government that means only one percent farmers supported the proposed Shaktipeeth expressway.
