Reporters without Borders condemns attack on two Bangladeshi newspapers

Dhaka, Nov 28 (UNI) Reporters Without Borders (RSF), an international non-governmental organisation that champions the right to freedom of information, has strongly condemned the attacks on the offices of The Daily Star and Prothom Alo, two prominent newspapers in Bangladesh.
In a statement, the Paris-headquartered body called on Bangladesh authorities to cease acts of intimidation and work towards a safer and more diverse media environment in the country, the Daily Star reported on Thursday.
According to the report, RSF reported multiple violent incidents targeting newspapers, including coordinated attacks on their Dhaka headquarters and regional offices.
