Taiwan armed forces on high alert after PLA airspace restrictions

Taipei City, Dec 9 (UNI) Taiwan set up a response center on Monday and its armed forces are maintaining a high defense readiness alert level after China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) established seven "airspace restriction zones," Taiwan's defence ministry said.
The PLA announced the establishment of seven airspace restriction zones east of Zhejiang and Fujian provinces from Monday to Wednesday, Taiwan's Military News Agency, an information service of the Taiwanese Defence Ministry, reported on Monday.
"In this regard, the ministry completed the deployment of the response center in the morning and instructed units at all levels to strictly monitor enemy activities and maintain a high level of defence readiness," the report said.
