Ruling civic platform wins in Poland's European parliamentary election

Moscow, June 10 (UNI) The official results of the European Parliament elections on Monday showed Poland's ruling Civic Platform party's victory with a small advantage of less than 1 percentage point over the opposition Law and Justice party (PiS).
On Sunday, Poland held a national vote to elect 53 representatives to the European Parliament for a five-year term.
The electoral commission data showed that after processing 100% of ballots, Civic Platform got 37.06% of the vote. It was closely followed by the largest opposition PiS party with 36.16% of votes.
