COP29: Developed nations offer USD 250 bln annually for climate action

Baku, Nov 22 (UNI) After series of negotiations, the COP29 Presidency on Friday came out with a draft proposing 250 billion USD per year by 2035, as against the demand from India and other developing countries for at least 1.3 Trillion USD annually by the same period.
No country has yet responded to the new draft. However, Indian negotiators sat again with the proposal and said after due scrutiny that New Delhi will release a statement on the Presidency’s proposal on climate action fund.
