Japan ready to provide assistance to Morocco after earthquake

Tokyo, Sep 10 (UNI) Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida expressed condolences to those affected by the devastating earthquake in Morocco and stated Japan's readiness to provide all required assistance.
Earlier, Moroccan newspaper Hespress reported citing Interior Ministry data that the death toll in the earthquake had risen to 2,012, with 2,059 other people injured.
"I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to those who lost their lives, and my sympathies are with their bereaved families. I sincerely pray for the quick recovery of those who are affected as well as the prompt reconstruction of the affected areas. I would like to convey to you that Japan stands ready to provide all possible assistance your country may need, based on local needs," Kishida said in a statement addressed to Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch.
