Belarus-China Center for basic scientific research opens in Minsk

Minsk July 16 (UNI) The Belarus-China Center for Basic Scientific Research has opened at Belarusian State University (BSU), with the opening ceremony attended by BSU Rector Andrei Korol and President of Peking University Gong Qihuang, the Belta news agency reported today.
The center is a joint initiative between the two universities. The first step in establishing the center was the launch of its Chinese branch at Peking University in November 2024.The first memorandum between the universities was signed in 2019, and since then cooperation has been expanding,
President of Peking University Gong met with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and expressed Minsk’s commitment to strengthening scientific and technological ties with China.
