Brazil mobilizes 9k troops to guard G20 leaders summit

Rio De Janeiro, Nov 13 (UNI) The Brazilian government said on Wednesday that it is set to mobilize 9,000 troops to ensure security during the upcoming G20 summit in the country.
"The defense ministry will allocate 9,000 military personnel for the G20 leaders's summit starting Wednesday," the government said.
The G20 summit will take place in Brazil from November 18–19. The leaders of the 19 member countries, as well as the African Union and the European Union are expected to attend. Russian President Vladimir Putin refused to take part in the summit, but Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said last week that Russia would continue to promote multipolar world principles during the summit.
