3 suspects arrested after shooting at Istanbul church association

Istanbul, Jan 3 (UNI) Three suspects have been arrested after a shooting at the Association of Salvation Churches in Istanbul, the Istanbul Governor's office said in a statement on Thursday.
At 9:20 p.m. local time (1820 GMT) on Monday, three gunmen who arrived in a commercial vehicle opened fire on the association building in the Cekmekoy district on the Asian side of Istanbul, according to the statement.
Local media released a photo showing the gunmen firing from inside the vehicle.
According to the Cumhuriyet daily, the bullets pierced through the metal shutter and glass, and hit the wall of the association building.
No casualties or injuries were reported in the attack.
The suspects, who had criminal records for fraud and intentional injury, were referred to court after being processed at the police station, the statement noted, without disclosing the motive behind the attack.
