Sri Lanka earns 2.66 bln USD from tourism in 1st ten months of 2025

Colombo, Nov 16 (UNI) Sri Lanka earned around 2.66 billion U.S. dollars from tourism in the first ten months of 2025, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) said in its latest report.
Tourism earnings for October 2025 reached 186.1 million dollars, according to the bank.
The CBSL said total earnings during the January-October period rose 4.9 percent from the same period in 2024.

Dhaka, Dec 6 (UNI) Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson and two-time former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia's transfer abroad for advanced treatment has been delayed further, with her personal physician and BNP member Dr AZM Hossain stating that the flight will be greenlit once the medical board is confident that she is stable enough to travel.
