No political instability in Maha for mid-term polls: minister

Kolhapur / Ratnagiri, Apr 1 (UNI) While dismissing the possibility of mid-term elections in the state, Maharashtra Industry Minister and Shiv Sena leader Uday Samant on Saturday asserted that there was no political instability in the state because a majority of 172 MLAs are with the ruling Eknath Shinde-BJP government.
Talking to reporters in Ratnagiri town this afternoon, he said, "Generally, mid-term elections are likely when political situation is volatile but since the strength of MLAs with Shinde-BJP government is 172, there is no question of political instability in the state."
He made this observation while replying to a query by journalists on whether there was a possibility of mid-term elections in Maharashtra as indicated by the leaders of different political parties.
