North Tripura selected for PM’s major agricultural schemes: CM

Agartala, Oct 12 (UNI) North Tripura has been recognized as one of the 100 districts nationwide where Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched three major schemes aimed at enhancing farmers’ access to both long-term and short-term credit, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said today.
The initiatives focus on boosting agricultural productivity, diversifying crops, and promoting sustainable farming practices. On the birth anniversary of renowned Bharat Ratnas Jai Prakash Narayan and Nanaji Deshmukh, the Prime Minister officially launched the PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana, the National Mission on Pulses, and the National Mission on Natural Farming.
These schemes are set to inject new energy into the agriculture and allied sectors, contributing to the vision of a developed India and improving the livelihoods of those engaged in farming. Dr. Saha noted that following the reform of the GST regime, prices for various agricultural products have decreased.
