Norway lifts sanctions on Turkish defense industry - Ankara

Ankara, Sep 11 (UNI) Norway has lifted the defense industry related restrictions imposed on Turkey in 2019, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.
"Today (September 11), [Turkish] Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a telephone conversation with Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide. Norwegian Foreign Minister Eide said that Norway had decided to lift the restrictions related to the Turkish defense industry it had imposed on the country in 2019," Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Oncu Keceli said on X.
Fidan expressed Ankara's satisfaction at Oslo's decision, adding that such restrictions were not in line with the spirit of alliance, the spokesperson added.
