Odisha Crime Branch arrests two in FM college self-immolation case

Balasore, Aug 4 (UNI) The Crime Branch of Odisha police, investigating the self-immolation case of FM College student Soumyashree Bisi, has arrested two individuals, one current student and one former student, in connection with the tragic incident.
The accused, identified as Subhra Sambit Nayak and Jyoti Prakash Biswal, were produced before the SDJM court and sent to judicial custody for 14 days after their bail petitions were rejected.
Notably, Subhra Sambit Nayak was serving as the state joint secretary of the ABVP, while Jyoti Prakash Biswal had been recording videos of the victim and sustained burn injuries while attempting to rescue her.
