Odisha recruits 25 coaches across 12 sports disciplines after a decade

Bhubaneswar, June 11 (UNI) Odisha has taken a significant step towards strengthening its sports ecosystem with the selection of 25 coaches across 12 sporting disciplines, reinforcing its commitment to nurturing talent and enhancing sports infrastructure in the state.
Official sources said the recruitment drive marks a major milestone for the Sports Department, as the last appointment of coaches in Odisha was carried out in 2016, nearly a decade ago.
The state government had initiated the recruitment process in 2025 to fill 38 vacant coaching posts across 16 sports disciplines. Following a comprehensive selection process, 25 coaches have been appointed so far.
