Odisha: Three killed, two injured in road accident

Bhubaneswar Oct 17 (UNI) At least three people were killed and two more critically injured in a road accident as the ill-fated car in which they were travelling skidded off the road and crashed into the road divider on the national highway on the outskirts of Odisha’s Bargarh district headquarters township during wee hours yesterday, police said.
Locals and police personnel rushed to the spot to rescue two occupants trapped inside the badly-mangled car. Three more occupants were declared dead at the district headquarters hospital, police added.
Besides, the driver of the car, who was driving at breakneck speed, might have possibly dozed off leading to the mishap. There is a hint of ‘sleep’ in the accident, police said, adding that an unnatural death case has been registered in this connection.
