Odisha: Vigilance court sentences Ex-Forest Range Officer to three-year RI in DA case

Bhubaneswar, Jan 18 (UNI) A Vigilance Court in Berhampur of Odisha on Saturday convicted a former Forest Range Officer Bijay Kumar Mohanty and sentenced him to three years Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) in a case of possessing Disproportionate Assets (DA) by him.
Vigilance Special Judge while sentencing Mohanty to three years RI also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on him.
The former Forest Range Officer worked in Samantiapalli Forest Range under DFO, Berhampur in Ganjam district.
