One arrested for theft, stolen jewellery collectively worth Rs 13.76 lakh recovered

Thane, Sep 14 (UNI) The MBVV (Mira-Bhayander Vasai Virar) police have arrested a worker at the jewellery shop and seized from him stolen jewellery collectively worth Rs 13.76 lakh.
The accused had joined the job at jewellery design shop on Sept 8 and within the next three days, he decamped with the jewellery worth Rs 13.76 lakh, police said Tuesday.
Since the shop owner did not have any details of the accused, police worked on various technical and intelligence inputs and arrested the accused, identified only as Vishwanath, from Ambojwadi slum colony of Malvani, Malad in Mumbai.
