Opposition stages walkout from the state assembly over paddy procurement issue

Patna, Feb 23 (UNI) Remaining dissatisfied with the reply of Bihar government over issues related to paddy procurement and farmers, the opposition today staged a noisy walkout from the state assembly during the pre-lunch session today.
Through supplementary on-call attention of Mr Sudhakar Singh and others, the leader of opposition Tejasvi Prasad Yadav and other opposition members vociferously demanded extension of paddy procurement time limit in the interest of the farmers which the government did not accept on the plea that the procurement has been done more than the previous years and any extension of time limit would only benefit the middlemen affecting the farmers.
Protesting against the reply of the government, the opposition created noisy scenes form their seats and reiterated their demand to extend the time limit for paddy procurement. The opposition shouting anti-government slogans staged a noisy walkout from the house.
