Pakistan National Assembly passes several key amendments to Armed Forces Act and Judicial Bill

Islamabad, Nov 13 (UNI) The Pakistan National Assembly on Thursday approved a series of significant amendment bills concerning the country's armed forces and judiciary, marking another major phase in the government's legal overhaul following the passage of the 27th Constitutional Amendment last week.
Among the bills passed were the Pakistan Army Act Amendment Bill, the Pakistan Air Force Act 1953 Amendment Bill, and the Pakistan Navy Act Amendment Bill 2025- all presented by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif. The Assembly also adopted amendments to the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Act 2023, introduced by Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar.
The session, held at the Parliament House in Islamabad, was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who was greeted with applause from lawmakers as the government benches moved swiftly through an extensive legislative agenda, reports Samaa News.

Announcing full transparency of the PIA auction, the premier, during a meeting with business tycoons and representatives discussing the airline's privatisation, said that the auction would be televised live on national television.
