Paradip Port achieves 100 MMT mark in cargo handling

New Delhi, Feb 22 (UNI) The Ministry of Port, Waterways and Shipping on Monday said that the Paradip Port Trust (PPT) achieved the mark of handling 100 Million Metric Tonnes (MMT) of cargo fourth year in a row.
Despite COVID-19 crisis, it once again repeated the feat by crossing the 100 MMT mark in succession and achieved cargo throughput of 100.30 MMT till February 21 in the current fiscal.
The PPT achieved this achievement despite two of its existing berths are not available for handling of cargo these are under mechanization process.
