PM Modi slams Cong over infiltration, says Assam areas reclaimed

Darrang (Assam), Sept 14 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi today accused the Congress of historical land encroachments and backing anti-national forces, while affirming the BJP-led government’s commitment to national security, development, and cultural preservation in the state.
During his address at a public rally in Assam's Darrang district after inaugurating a string of projects, the Prime Minister alleged that under past Congress administrations, encroachments were carried out on farmers’ land and religious sites. He said the BJP-led government had since launched efforts to rectify these "wrongs" and reclaim land.
“Encroachments on farmers’ land and on places of worship were carried out under the previous Congress governments. Since the formation of the BJP-led NDA government, we have begun to correct those wrongs and remove illegal claims,” he said.
