Mahabubnagar, Oct 1 (UNI) Sounding poll bugle in Telangana ahead of Assembly election likely to be held in November or December, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the BJP is committed to the development of the state.
Addressing a huge public gathering at the “Palamuru Praja Garjana” here, he alleged that there was a ‘massive corruption’ in irrigation projects.
Describing BRS and AIMIM as 'family parties', Modi alleged that development came to a halt in the state due to these parties.
He castigated these two parties stating they are running the government in Telangana like private limited companies.
'The director, manager and secretary posts belongs to their family members. They keep some people from outside as support staff,” Modi said.
Telangana wants a transparent and corruption-free government with a development agenda and that will be Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after the next election, the PM said.
He said "People of Telangana have strengthened BJP in Lok Sabha, Vidhan Sabha and civic elections.
The PM alleged that ‘false promises’ regarding loan waivers were made to farmers by the BRS government which led to their suicides.
