Pokhriyal launches academic calendar for Class VI-VIII students

New Delhi, Aug 3 (UNI) Union Human Resource Development Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' launched a two-month academic calendar for students from sixth to eighth grade.
In the guidelines, there is provision to get education at home on mobile, WhatsApp message, TV radio and social media platforms.
Dr Pokhriyal, who tweeted this information, said he is releasing an alternate academic calendar for eight weeks, which contains guidelines for teachers on how to use social media and technology to teach students at home.
He said this calendar will also empower students, teachers, principals and parents.
This will help to use resources about online teaching in the Corona era to yield better results.
The calendar contains week-wise plan consisting of interesting and challenging activities, with reference to theme/chapter taken from syllabus or textbook to facilitate teachers/parents to assess the progress in the learning of children and also to go beyond textbooks.
It also covers experiential learning activities such as Arts Education, Physical Exercises, yoga, and pre-vocational skills. The Calendar contains class-wise and subject-wise activities in tabular forms and includes activities related to four languages as subject areas --Hindi English, Urdu and Sanskrit.
