Police arrest UP Congress prez, legislature party leader for staging protest against arrest of Shahanwaz Alam

Lucknow, Jun 30 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Congress activists here on Tuesday staged a march towards the Vidhan Sabha from the state party headquarters in protest over the arrest of their leader and state minority cell chairman Shahanwaz Alam on Monday night.
Police was deployed in large numbers at the Congress state headquarters at the Mall Avenue and they arrested around 500 activists including state president Ajay Kumar Lallu and legislature party leader Ms Aradhana Mishra Mona, when they tried to march towards the Vidhan Sabha.
