Police nab three long-evading absconders in Sopore

Srinagar, Oct 16 (UNI) J&K Police apprehended three individuals in Sopore sub district of north Kashmir who had been allegedly evading arrest for several years, including two wanted in a 1999 criminal case.
A police team from Police Post Bus Stand Sopore apprehended Hilal Ahmad Siraj, and Abdul Rasheed Siraj both residents of Sidiq Colony Sopore who were involved in 1999 FIR registered at Police Station Sopore under section 376, 109 RPC. “The duo had been evading arrest since 2011 and were finally traced and arrested after sustained efforts,” police said.
In a separate operation, Nazir Ahmad Beigh, of Botingoo Sopore, was apprehended by Police Post Warpora.
