Positive discussion on minimum wages & separate pay scale for the Electricity sector

Mumbai, Oct 16 (UNI) A meeting of representatives of the All India Contract Workers Federation and Contractor Workers union (affiliated – Indian Workers Union) was held today at the Office of the Labour Commissioner, Mumbai (Bandra), in the presence of Ganesh Tathe, Chairman – Minimum Wage Advisory Board (State Minister rank, Maharashtra State).
The meeting involved detailed and positive discussions regarding pending issues in the implementation of minimum wages and the creation of a separate pay scale for electricity workers, said release today.
The discussion was held with Sachin Mengale, General Secretary of the All India Contract Workers Federation; Virendra Mohite from Maharashtra State and other representatives, office-bearers, and workers of the organization.
