Pragmatic budget : Sund Home Fin MD

Chennai, Feb 1 (UNI) Sundaram Home Finance MD D Lakshminarayanan
today termed as paragmatic, the Geneal budget presented by Union
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Parliament.
In a statement, he said "this is a pragmatic budget; key numbers are in
line with our expectations."

It is a CapEx heavy budget; front loading of expenditure of growth. This
is a strong statement inthe wake of talks of global recession, he said.

"There is a significant infra push - cement and steel. . Overall push on
infrastructure will further the cause of housing for all and help the
housing finance sector", he dded.
Lakshminarayanan said the Urban infrastructure fund by National Housing
Bank to the tune of Rs 10,000 crores is a significant step in pushing the
housing agenda and infusion of Rs 9,000 crores for credit guarantee scheme
of MSME will certainly help push growth.
