Priyanka slams Yogi for covering crematorium ground in Lucknow

Lucknow, Apr 15(UNI) In a fresh attack on Yogi Adityanath government, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday uploaded a video of erecting cover around the cremation place in Lucknow and asked the chief minister that instead of wasting time, resources, energy in concealing the facts, he should concentrate on extending better medical facilities for the Covid patients.
"Wasting your time, resources, and energy to conceal this pandemic is of no use. To control the pandemic, to save human lives, and to take concrete steps to check the spread of the virus is the need of the hour," tweeted Vadra on Thursday while targeting government efforts to conceal cremation at a large scale at Bhisakund in Lucknow.
It may be mentioned that a video was doing the rounds on social media which showed rows of funeral pyres burning in already overburdened crematorium in Lucknow and that the local authorities were putting tin shades all around to cover the facts. The video was shared by many social media users to narrate the ordeal caused by the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic as well as the efforts of the authorities to cover it. As the video went viral, many criticised the Uttar Pradesh government for failing to contain the virus as well as for underreporting the deaths caused by it.
