Protestors in Hubballi demand justice for murdered Anjali Ambigera

Hubballi, May 18 (UNI) Outrage and demands for justice reverberated through the streets of Hubballi as various organizations and Lingayat mutts rallied together on Saturday in response to the shocking murder of 21-year-old Anjali Ambigera, allegedly at the hands of her jilted lover, Girish.
The protestors, led by influential figures like Basava Mruthunjaya Swamiji of Kudala Sangama and Dingaleshwar Swamiji of Fakireshwar Mutt, alongside representatives from different Lingayat mutts and the victim's family, demanded swift action and the establishment of a fast track court to ensure timely justice for the perpetrator.
Blaming the authorities for a failure to maintain law and order, especially in light of recent similar incidents, the protestors expressed deep concern over the prevailing atmosphere of fear among women. Basava Mruthunjaya Swamiji called upon the government to take decisive steps, cautioning against comparisons with states plagued by law enforcement issues.
